From today, discover the winners of the MAGIC International Manga Contest!

This unique competition is organized by Shibuya Productions and Shueisha / Shônen Jump, the famous publisher of the blockbusters DRAGON BALL, Naruto, ONE PIECE, Demon Slayer... (to name just a few).

Since the first edition of the competition in 2017, 15 works have already been published on Shônen Jump+ and the contest continues to take place every year despite the health crisis.

This year, 49 participants from 20 different countries presented their manga to the Jury members, including Hiroyuki Nakano, editor-in-chief of Weekly Shônen Jump and Shûhei Hosono, editor-in-chief of Shônen Jump+.

Based on videos presentation sent by the five finalists, the jury rewarded the following:

Grand Prize: Watchaland by Théodore Ekane (Cameroon)
Runner-up: Re:Coil! from Enjelicious (Philippines)
Favorite: TRUE IKIGAI by Loick Ngue and Kouadio Ahigo (France)

Thanks to the success of this sixth edition, the manga competition is being renewed for another year with a grand finale organized during MAGIC 2023, on February 25 and 26, 2023!
